Woman survives plunge from Williamsburg Bridge

A woman survived after a leap off of the Williamsburg Bridge today when an SVU broke her fall.

Police say that the woman apparently jumped off the bridge near Delancey Street, landing on a car’s windshield.

She was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition and is expected to survive, an NYPD spokesman said. He said they do not suspect criminality.

Sources told the Daily News that the woman was driving over the bridge before parking her car and leaping.
