A 22-year-old woman was held on a $75,000-bail over the weekend after she was charged with stabbing her boyfriend with a kitchen knife inside their Lower Manhattan apartment Friday.

 

Yekaterina Pusepa, 22, sobbed in court as she was arraigned Saturday. Pusepa was arrested after police found her covered in blood and standing over her boyfriend, Alec Katsnelson, 22, at their Gold St. apartment building.

 

Blood poured out of a knife wound to his chest, according to the New York Daily News.

 

He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he remains in stable condition after having surgery.

 

Neighbors told the News they often heard fighting coming from inside the apartment the two shared.
