Should your sweetie have a taste for the strange-but-beautiful, the Love Sucks Oddity Market is back just in time for Valentines’s Day.

Bad Moon Consignment and Worcester’s Our Lady of Reclamation opened a pop-up featuring a selection their vintage and reclaimed treasures atEridanos in Cambridgebefore Christmas last month and sold out within the first two hours. The event was so successful they decided to revive it pre-the big V.

“We created the [Facebook] event before I even left that day,” says Bad Moon Consignment’s Jennifer Simone.

Simone says she’ll be bringing a selection of customized reclaimed taxidermy, and Our Lady of Reclamation owner, Jose Chavez, will provide a range of vintage religious and macabre memorabilia and other unique finds.

Just finished!

If the idea of skulls, taxidermy and other preserved parts makes you a bit squeamish, Simone assures us her pieces are all ethically sourced and preserved.

“I seek out animals from the best sources I can,” she says. “Like, no one who kills or traps animals for profit."

Among her bounty: a range of rare large and small tomb bats preserved in shadow box frames with crystals, and chicken feet, “for good luck.”

And despite the market’s name, Simone says it’s a positive, fun environment to treat your “weird friend” or “loved one that loves oddities." Some of their products might be dead, but that doesn’t mean love is.

Love Sucks Oddity Market at Eridanos (36 Prospect St, Cambridge) opensSaturday, Feb. 13 from noon to 8 p.m.RSVP on their Facebook event page.
