Madonna’s custody battle over Rocco is coming to New York

Finally some good news for Madonna — sort of.

A London judge has ruled in her favor in at least one aspect of the nasty custody battle she and former husbandGuy Ritchie are locked in over their teenage son, Rocco. But this decision just means the legal battle will be presided over in New York instead of the U.K.

Madonna has been very vocal during her current tour about how the family rift is plaguing her. The 15-year-old Rocco wants to stay with dad Ritchie in London instead of heading back to the States with his mom. The U.K. judge made no ruling on that part of the dispute but did urge the parents, who split in 2008 after more than seven years of marriage,to work the whole thing out some other way that doesn’t involve lawyers.
