A Long Island man was arrested after police watched him broadcasting himself driving drunk online.

On Sunday morning around 1:00 a.m., the New York State Police started receiving multiple calls describing an erratic driver headed westbound on Ocean Parkway in Nassau County, authorities reported. The driver was also using the streaming app Periscope to broadcast his intoxicated condition.

Police logged on and viewed his drunken streaming video, officials stated. Using the live video feed to pinpoint the man’s location, troopers were able to coordinate a stop to safely apprehend the driver on Wantagh Parkway.

The driver, Ahmed A. Almalki, 33, of Oyster Bay, failed sobriety tests and was charged with felony DWI, due to a previous DWI conviction, along with failure to use signals, speeding, unsafe lane changes and driving across hazard markings, state police reported.

Almalki is due in court on Monday, March 14, according to the New York Daily News.
