Man arrested with two guns, crack on him in Roxbury

Police responded to a report of a person with a gun in the area of Tremont and Camden Streets at about 1:46 a.m. on Wednesday.

A woman told police that a man pulled two guns out of what she described as a picnic basket and threatened her with them. Officers stopped a man matching the description the victim provided at the intersection of Tremont and Ruggles Streets.

Officers searched the man and found a loaded Hi-Point C9 9mm in his waste band. Officers put the suspect in custody and searched an orange cooler bag the suspect was carrying and found a loaded Charter Arms Corp. Bulldog Tracker .357 magnum revolver and a small bag of what officers say was crack cocaine.

Officers charged Juan Pimental, 35, of Boston with assault by means of a dangerous weapon, two counts of unlawful possession of firearms and two counts of unlawful possession of ammunition, two counts of a possession of a firearm for a second time and possession of a Class Be substance.

He will appear in Roxbury District Court.
