Man dies after fall onto Times Square subway tracks

A man died this morning after he fell onto the subway tracks at a Times Square station and was electrocuted by the third rail.

The fire department responded to the call about a man on the northbound 2 and 3 train tracks about 6:55 a.m. at the Seventh Avenue and 42nd Street station,The New York Post reports. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is not clear how the man fell off the platform.
