A man was found dead Tuesday morning inside the Russian Consulate in Manhattan, police said.
The 63-year-old victim, whose identity hasn’t been disclosed by police, had “unknown trauma to the head” and was unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the consulate on East 91st Street on the Upper East Side.
Some local news media reported that the man might have experienced a medical problem and collapsed.
The investigation is ongoing, and a medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
