A window washer fell to his death on Tuesday afternoon while working in Lower Manhattan, police said.
Officials said the man was leaning out of a fifth-floor window at 335 Greenwich St. to clean a window when he fell out at around 1:10 p.m. and landed on the pavement.
Paramedics rushed to the corner of Jay and Greenwich streets and took the man, who was not identified by Tuesday afternoon, to a hospital in Downtown Manhattan, where he was declared dead.
Witnesses told the Daily News that the man might have been working on the window without a harness.
