Man dies in Queens hit-and-run after being struck twice: NYPD

A California man died Tuesday night after he was knocked to the ground by a hit-and-run driver, then hit by a second car while lying on an ice-slicked avenue in Ridgewood.

Kamil Gorski, 36, of San Marcos, California was crossing Metropolitan Avenue at 62nd Street around 8 p.m. when he was hit by a white van, driven by 53-year-old Raul Reyes of Brooklyn, who fled the scene.

Police say that’s when a blue sedan ran over Gorski. The second driver stayed at the scene and was not charged.

Police tracked down Reyes and arrested him for leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in Gorski’s death.
