Man fatally struck by E train at 42nd Street

A man was struck and killed by an E train Monday morning in an apparent suicide, police said.

The incident happened at the 42nd Street station just before 9 a.m. Witnesses told authorities that they saw the man, who has yet to be identified, jump in front of a southbound E train. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

After a disruption inservice, the MTA is reporting that A, C and E service has resumed with delays.
