Man stabbed in East Village after filming altercation

A 41-year-old man was stabbed on Saturday morning after filming an altercation in the back of an East Village residential building.

According to the NYPD, as two unidentified men engaged in a physical confrontation, the 41-year-old bystander and eventual victim started filming, prompting one of the men (pictured above) to attack him with a knife and stab him in the torso, before fleeing the scene.

The victim was treated and released at Bellevue Hospital, and the NYPD remains on the hunt for the suspect in the stabbing.
