A person was struck and killed by a commuter rail train in Newton Monday morning, Transit Police confirmed.
The man, described as being white and middle-aged, was trespassing on the tracks near the Auburndale station when he was struck and killed by an inbound Worcester Main Line train.
Transit Police along with representatives of the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office are currently investigating the incident. Foul play is not suspected, according to authorities.
