Buses were replacing rail service at six stops on the Red Line Sunday afternoon after aman was struck by a train at Broadway station.
The victim was described as a man around 55 years old who had been trespassing at the station around 2:36 p.m.when he was hit by a passing train, according to police. His injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening. He has been taken to an area hospital.Police do not suspect foul play.
After the collision, the man had been briefly pinned under the train, according to a report from NECN.
Investigators continued to analyze the scene Sunday afternoon, and the MBTAwrote in an update on its website that shuttles were replacing service from the Park Street station to JFK/UMass.
Regular service resumed around 4:12 p.m. with “moderate residual delays,” according to the T.
