Jonathan Lynn says he broke his arm to escape being yanked down a subway tunnel — and now he wants the MTA to pay.
Lynn, 32, a Web developer who lives in Sloatsburg, N.Y., filed a lawsuit May 12 in Brooklyn Supreme Court against the MTA, as well as the G-train operators.
He said that last August, just after midnight, he was waved onto a train by a conductor at the Classon Avenue stop. But the doors closed, he said, before he was all the way in, trapping his left arm and messenger bag — and leaving his body stuck outside the train.
What happened next is a “nightmare,” his lawyer, Duncan Peterson, said.
Running alongside the train, Lynn said he banged on the door and screamed for help, but was forced to hurl his body away from the train, breaking his own arm just before he hit the wall at the end of the platform. “He was covered in blood,” according to the legal complaint.
Lynn said he broke his elbow in three places and hit his head that night.
