A 35-year-old Ottawa man appeared in court Sunday facing charges relating a home invasion robbery that sent a victim to the hospital with serious head injuries.
Ottawa police were called to a residence in the 800 block of Pinewood Crescent around 1 p.m. on Saturday and apprehended a suspect after a short foot chase.
A suspect faces charges including robbery, aggravated assault, and using a firearm during the commission of an indictable offence.
Jamie Walsh remains in custody.
The victim was treated in hospital for serious head injuries and released.
