The 2018 Village Halloween Parade will take place Wednesday evening in the village and all the freaks and zombies are guaranteed to be out tonight. 

New York City’s 45th annual Village Halloween Parade is considered to be one of the largest Halloween celebrations in the country with tens of thousands of participants and revelers each ear.

According to the official Halloween NYC Parade NYC website, 35 bands and hundreds of dancers and puppets will be on display in New York City.

As expected, the Village Halloween Party is expected to be packed with thousands of people in costumes so if you’re in the area, make sure you have your camera.

The parade starts at 7 p.m. EST and will line up at Canal Street and Sixth Avenue. It will start on Spring Street and move up Sixth Avenue to 16th Street in Manhattan.

According to the New York City Department of Transportation, several streets will be closed in Manhattan from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST for the 2018 Village Halloween Parade. Plan accordingly if you want to avoid all the zombies in the city.

Formation:

—  6th Avenue between Spring Street and Canal Street

— Dominick Street between Varick Street and 6th Avenue

— Sullivan Street between Broome Street and Spring Street

— Broome Street between Sullivan Street and Varick Street

— Spring Street between Sullivan Street and Varick Street

Dispersal:

— 16th Street between 5th Avenue and 7th Avenue

— 17th Street between 5th Avenue and 7th Avenue

— 18th Street between 5th Avenue and 7th Avenue

Miscellaneous:

— 10th Street between 6th Avenue and Greenwich Avenue

— Van Dam Street between Varick Street and 6th Avenue

Because the parade will travel north from Canal Street to 16th Street on 6th Avenue, it’s easy to get there. 

You can take the A, C, E, B, D, F, M trains to West 4 St-Washington Sq or the L, N, Q, R, W, 4, 5, 6, to 14th Street-Union Square. You can also take the 1, 2, or 3 trains to 14th Street and the 1 train to Cristopher and Houston streets.

According to the MTA, the following busses are subject to rerouting due to the parade: M1, M2, M3, M7, M8, M14A/D, M20, M21, M55, X1, X7, X9, X10, X12, X17C, BxM18.
