It’s America’s birthday and what better way to celebrate than seeing a display of exploding colors?

Metro compiled a list of some July 4 fireworks displays that will be taking place in Greater Boston. However, because of the expected storm, many cities and towns may cancel or postpone the celebrations. Check the city and town’s website to confirm any more changes.

July 3

Boston; Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular concert begins at 8:30 p.m., fireworks begin at 10:30 p.m; Hatch Shell and Esplanade

Randolph; 9:30 p.m.; fireworks go off over Randolph High School (Rain date TBD)

Somerville; Live music at 6 p.m. followed by fireworks at around 9:15 p.m.; Trum Field. (Rain date July 10)

Weymouth; 9:30 p.m.; George Lane Beach and Wessagusset Beach (Call 781-340-2133 for schedule updates)

July 4

Newton; 9 p.m.; Albemarle Field (No rain date)

Salem; 9:15 p.m.; Derby Wharf (More information)

Plymouth; about 9 p.m.; Plymouth waterfront (Rain date July 5)

July 5

Worcester; 9:30 p.m.; East Park on Shrewsbury Street

July 6

Lynn; 9 p.m.; Red Rock Park
