MAP: New York City street closures, September 19, 20 and 21 (weekend)

The Department of Transportation and NYPD said there may be residual delays near all of the street closures on September 19, 20 and 21. There will be many streets and avenues closed on Sunday for special events. Check out the map. Plan accordingly.

Note: The times listed are for the actual event. Expect street closures and delays before and after the scheduled times to allow for set up and breakdown of the event.

Friday, September 19

Stone Street between Hanover Square and Broad Street and Mill Lane between Stone Street and South William Street will remain closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m until for theStone Street Pedestrian Mall.

Mulberry Street between Canal Street and Broome Street and Mill Lane between Stone Street and South William Street will be closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5:30 p.m to 9 p.m for theLittle Italy Pedestrian Mall.

From September 11 through September 21, the following streets in lower Manhattan will be closed for the San Gennaro Festival:

  • Mulberry Street between Canal Street and East Houston Street
  • Grand Street between Mott Street and Centre Street
  • Hester Street between Mott Street and Centre Street

Saturday, September 20

Areas around Stone Street in lower Manhattan will be closed from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. for the Stone Street Oyster Festival.

Broadwaybetween Waverly Place and 14th Street will be closed from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the Broadway Autumn Fair.

Expect closures and delays on Fifth and LexingtonAvenue between 67th Street and 86th in Manhattan from Noon to 3 p.m for the German American Day Parade.

Maiden Lane between Front Street and South Street in Manhattan will be closed from Noon to 6 p.m for Dushara.

Havemeyer Street between South 4th Street and Grand Street in Brooklyn will be closed from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the DOT Weekend Walks Southside Connex event.

Sunday, September 21

Graham Avenue between Broadway and Debevoise Street in Brooklyn will be closed from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the Brooklyn Puerto Rican Day Parade.

There will be several street closures and delays along and near 12th Avenue between 44th Street and North Moore Street in Manhattan from 7 a.m. to Noon. for theRosedale Woman’s Health 10k Run.

There will be several street closures and delays along Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard between 111th Street 136th Street in Harlem from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the African American Day Parade.

Madison Avenue between 38th Street and 27th Street in Manhattan will be closed from Noon to 6 p.m. for the Mexican Day Parade. Expect delays and closures on Park and Lexington Avenues on 38th Street and 27th Street.

Fulton Street between Water Street and William Street in Manhattan will be closed from Noon to 6 p.m. for the Community Board #1 Fulton Street Fair.

Columbus Avenue between West 66th Street and West 86th Street in Manhattan will be closed from Noon to 5 p.m. for the Columbus Avenue Festival.

The African Cultural Center Parade is on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Malcolm X Boulevard between 134th Street and 122nd Street in Harlem will be closed during the parade.

Amsterdam Avenue between West 106th Street and West 110th Street in Manhattan will be closed from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the DOT Weekend Walks Bloomingdale Family Days event.

Cortelyou Road between Coney Island Avenue and Ocean Avenue in Brooklyn will be closed from Noon to 5 p.m. for the Flatbush Frolic event.

Eighth Avenue between 66th Street and 55th Street in Brooklyn will be closed from 2 p.m to 3 p.m for the Chinese Moon Festival.

Montague Street between Clinton Street and Hicks Street in Brooklyn will be closed from Noon to 5 p.m. for the DOT Weekend Walks Summer Space event.
