The maple tree is still at the budding stage, but a long-simmering feud between two Etobicoke bungalow owners erupted in violence yesterday, allegedly after a man ripped down a branch hanging over his property and chucked it on his 74-year-old neighbour’s front lawn.
Witnesses told police there was pushing and shoving and a 48-year-old man stuffed some of the foliage in the face of the older man.
Emergency personnel arrived around 1 p.m. and found Thomas Floros near the doorway to his home at 160 Wellesworth Dr. in serious medical distress, said Supt. Tom McIlhone.
It’s possible he suffered a heart attack. “Sometimes the excitement of an incident does cause that.”
McIlhone said it’s early in the investigation but it appears to relate to a “neighbour dispute. There is a bit of a history.” On Wednesday, Floros was at 22 Division complaining about a neighbour.
