Masked gunmen sought for kidnapping, stabbing victim in Brooklyn

Police have released surveillance video of a van they say was used in the kidnapping, stabbing and robbery of a victim in Brooklyn early last week.

On Feb. 9 at about 10:38 p.m. police responded to a 911 call of shots fired in front of 1165 East 54th St., authorities said. Once they arrived, police officers were told by a witness that a victim was approached by two men wearing masks who took out a gun and forced the victim into a minivan.

According to cops, once inside the van the victim was assaulted and stabbed multiple times on the leg and arms. The suspects then allegedly took an undetermined amount of cash, an iPhone, and two debit cards.

The victim was left near East 39 and Foster Avenue and the suspect fled the location, authorities said.

According to the New York Daily News, the victim was a 51-year-old man from Long Island who had been visiting a friend on East 54th Street.

Police described one suspect as a black man in his 40s with a gray beard.
