MBTA Police need help identifying alleged Red Line robbers

MBTA Police are asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects who allegedly robbed a Red Line passenger at gunpoint in late December.

According to police reports, the two suspects got on a Red Line train that was stopped at Fields Corner on Dec. 23 and approached a 24-year-old male on board.

Police say one suspect pulled a gun on the victim, while the second suspect went through his pockets and stole $120 in cash and an iPhone.

The suspects then allegedly fled the Red Line train.

The suspects are described by police as:

2. A Hispanic male, 18-19 years of age, 5’04” to 5’06”, wearing a black do-rag, short black jacket, and black sweatpants

Anyone who has information or encounters the suspects is requested to contact Detective T.J. Leonard at 617-222-1052 or the MBTA Transit Police Intelligence Unit at 617-222-1170.
