Investigators added a Methuen man to the state’s Most Wanted Fugitives list Wednesday for his alleged role in a murder in Lawrence earlier this year.

Police said Yssael Lantigua-Alecon, 34, shot and killed a man in a nightclub on May 1.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at Bali’s Restaurant at 59 Essex Street in Lawrence. Upon arrival, officers found a man laying on a bathroom floor suffering from several gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as Jose Campusano, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Essex County State Police Detectives and the Lawrence Police Detectives investigated the murder and issued a warrant for Lantigua-Alecon for murder and related firearms charges. Investigators believe he has at least six aliases and multiple fake ID’s. He was living in Methuen at the time of the murder and should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
