Stop thinking about Christmas for a while and laugh and cry in the age of romance. The Vancouver PlayHouse presents Noel Coward’s Brief Encounter, an enchanting adaptation of the 1945 film with the same name.
It was adapted faithfully by Emma Rice with characters that seem to leap off the screen. The play follows the lives and loves of three couples at a train station tea room. Shows begin tonight at 8 at the Vancouver PlayHouse, located at the corner of Hamilton and Dunsmuir streets, and runs until Dec. 23. Tickets are $59 to $65 for adults and $37 for students.
