Metro Minute at chamber music fest

Chamber music doesn’t have to be instrumental. Expand your definition and check out internationally renowned, 12-voice French vocal ensemble Ludus Modalis at the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival today.

The group, which performs the sacred and secular polyphonic repertoire of the Renaissance and pre-Baroque era, will be making its first Ottawa appearance at Knox Presbyterian Church today at 3 p.m. The program, entitled Sacred And Profane Love, includes works by Palestrina and the love poetry of Ronsard, and was named a top-five pick of the second week of the festival by artistic director Roman Borys.
