Looking for gifts with Japanese flair this Christmas? Shiwasu — Handmade Gifts Show and Sale is the place to go.
The sale will be held at Burnaby’s National Nikkei Museum and Heritage Centre (120-6688 Southoaks Cres.) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and runs until Dec. 18.
Gift buyers will find gorgeous handmade crafts like kimono fabric items and paintings by local Japanese-Canadian artists and artisans including Yuko Yoshida, Mari Yasuda, Jean Okada and Sachi Yamabe. Other items include teas, pottery and jewelry. Admission is free.
