Walk a few short minutes along the pathway into the Mud Lake/Britannia Conservation Area and you will be transported into a wild area of forest and wetlands that is home to hundreds of species of wildlife.
Just a short trip from Parliament Hill, the urban swamp area can be accessed from Cassels Street, along the Ottawa River. Mud Lake is also prime birding territory.
Thousands of birdwatchers visit the area each year to observe the hundreds of different species.
