Capital EX kicked off Friday and Edmontonians flocked to the annual summer rite of passage.
The smell of corn dogs and mini doughnuts fill the midway while roller-coasters and Ferris wheels make up the temporary skyline at Northlands.
The weather has co-operated with the exhibition and organizers are reminding carnival-goers to take precautions when spending the day at the midway.
Guests are encouraged to pack sunscreen and prescribed medications, as well as wear loose clothing and hats. Above all else, stay hydrated and eat regularly.
Capital EX runs from until Aug. 1.
