Tonight, get your learn on outside the classroom. Join Carleton earth science professor Brian Cousens for a Science Café discussion about how the unique aspects of the Icelandic volcano eruption and western Quebec earthquake touched lives in Ottawa.
The talk, entitled, Geological Calamities Near and Far: Icelandic Volcanic Eruptions to Ottawa Earthquakes, discusses how these global geological calamities impacted life in Ottawa in 2010.
The discussion, followed by a question-and-answer session, is held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wild Oat Café.
The Science Café series is organized by the Faculty of Science at Carleton University to discuss relevant issues facing our society.
