Experience a night of music and culture with electronic cellist Cris Derksen. This 28-year-old aboriginal artist uses a variety of electronic techniques to enhance her classical style of cello music, allowing her to reach different octaves and produce a large array of musical sounds. She was one of the top cellists of the UBC Symphony Orchestra and has previously toured with Kanye West.
Derksen’s EP release show/party for Crystal Dawn is tonight at the Biltmore Cabaret on 395 Kingsway. This will be a double release party with Québécois artist Rae Spoon.
Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets are $12 at the door.
