Metro Minute with fire safety contest

During the holidays, Edmonton Fire Rescue sees an increase in residential fires and is holding a contest titled 12 Tips Of Christmas Fire Safety. One safety tip will be revealed each day. They can be found on Twitter, Facebook, SHAW TV, and 630 CHED and iNews880 radio stations. When you see or hear a tip, send an email to firecontest@edmonton.ca with the tip, your phone number and how you heard about it. If you are selected in a draw you could win a package including two fire extinguishers, three smoke alarms, one carbon monoxide detector, activity books and fire helmets for children, and a tour of a fire truck.
