Metro Minute with John B. Herrington

Ever wonder how it feels to walk in space, or what it’s like to stare down at the Earth? Hear all about it from North America’s first Native American astronaut, retired NASA Cmdr. John B. Herrington. Logging more than 300 hours in space, Herrington was the shuttle mission specialist on Endeavor and has flown in more than 30 different types of aircraft. He’s delivering a free special public presentation as part of British Columbia’s Year of Science. The event starts at 1:30 p.m. and is taking place at Vancouver Community College’s Broadway campus, 1155 East Broadway, Building B. For more information, visit www.yearofsciencebc.ca.
