If you’re looking to add a Celtic touch to your Christmas this year, join the McDades as they perform at the pioneer home at the John Walter Museum. The McDades consist of Shannon, Solon and Jeremiah McDade, who branched out in 2001 from a band they grew up playing in with their father, Terry, called the McDade Family Band. Every Christmas the family reunites in its hometown of Edmonton. Between the two 45-minute performances, which cost $23 for adults and $14 for children, enjoy hot apple cider or hot chocolate as well as home baking. Matinee shows at 2 p.m. are offered on weekends while 7:30 p.m. shows are on offer until Dec. 26.
