Nothing spices up a walk in your neighbourhood like street art. The Wellington Marbles, 18 hand-carved marble sculptures installed on Wellington Street West, will be unveiled at a public ceremony at Exposure Gallery from 7-9 p.m. Friday.
The sculptures, created by Marcus Kucey-Jones and Ryan Lotecki, playfully capture the form of a fire hydrant merged with everyday objects as a tribute to the local history and modern renewal of the community. The artists will also deliver a free English-only walking tour for the public at 1 p.m. Saturday. To register for the walking tour, email email@example.com.
