Metro is happy to announce that its stories will now be featured in Apple’s recently unveiled news aggregation app: Apple News.
“We’re very excited about being included in Apple News. Millennials are Metro’s core target group which means that we have to distribute our content in the channels they use,” said Metro US Chief Digital Officer Lotta Karlsson.
“The ways people consume news these days have significantly changed the last couple of years. 41% of the market use Facebook for news each week and according to Apple’s CEO Tim Cook 40 million people are using Apple News. This is a natural next step in our efforts to reach out to millennials.”
Metro US covers a wide array of national news, sports and entertainment stories with a focus on the colorful life of urban dwellers in New York City, Boston and Philadelphia.
