The two moved from Haverhill to Reading a few weeks ago so she could be closer to her 11-year-old son, who she shares custody with her ex-husband.
According to Channel 5, Dorothy had told her husband that she felt unsafe. She is a double lung and kidney recipient, and did not take her medications with her.
“She’s insulin dependent, to a degree,” Ben Brownsberger told Channel 5. “So if she hasn’t taken it within 24 to 48 hours, she’s going to be in a state where she loses consciousness.”
