Cumberland North MLA Brian Skabar’s wife, Joyce Skabar, passed away in an Amherst hospital Tuesday.
Mrs. Skabar had been fighting a lengthy battle with cancer. The two were married for 27 years.
Premier Darrell Dexter expressed sorrow over Skabar’s death yesterday.
“On behalf of the House of Assembly, I want to send out my heartfelt condolences to Brian and his family during this difficult time,” he said in a release.
