Mohamed Sanu heads to NFL Draft

After a career year, star wide receiver Mohamed Sanu has played his final game for Rutgers.

The junior wideout led the Scarlet Knights and the entire Big East in receiving with 1,206 yards. He also set a conference record with 115 catches this season.

“It was a tough decision. Definitely, I was thinking about coming back,” Sanu said during his announcement conference yesterday on campus. “I love Rutgers so much and being around my teammates all the time. I’m going to miss that aspect of it. I’m going to miss the family and the cohesiveness of being around everybody every day.”

ESPN’s Mel Kiper has him ranked as the fifth-best junior receiver and as high as a second-round draft pick.
