Morrissey: Norway attacks not as bad as fast food

There are times in the world when it seems like our culture is caught in a never-ending storm of false umbrage, of people becoming offended on behalf of other people for things they themselves have no problem with. And then there are times when that outrage is completely justified.

Do you have anything to say about that Morrissey?

From a Mozza concert in Poland:

“We all live in a murderous world, as the events in Norway have shown. Though that is nothing compared to what happens in McDonald’s and Kentucky Fried S*** every day.”

Yes, millions of animals are killed by the fast food industry every year, and that is sad, especially if you are a person who likes animals. But here’s a tip: No one ever won anything by competing in the Tragedy Olympics. Even if you think Tragedy X is worse than Tragedy Y, telling people that isn’t going to make them reconsider their opinion on Tragedy X. It’s going to make them think you’re a jerkwad.

The only thing to wonder is: What fast-food franchise does Morrissey think is worse than the Hitler Youth?
