Most Americans want Tim Tebow as neighbor

If you could knock on anyone’s door to ask for a cup of sugar, who would it be?

A recent Zillow poll showed that 11 percent of adults want Tim Tebow as their neighbor. Interestingly enough, more men, 14 percent, want him as a neighbor, compared to 7 percent of women. Really, guys, is your fantasy to play a game of flag football with Denver Broncos quarterback on a sunny Sunday afternoon?

Other celebrities on the list include Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as well as Jennifer Aniston and her beau Justin Theroux. Americans with children preferred to live next to Jolie and Pitt and their six children.

As for the worst neighbors of 2011, the list is not surprising and the reasons are obvious.

The Jersey Shore cast tops the list at 28 percent. While it’s entertaining to watch them on television once a week, no one would want loud, fist pumping guidos living next door. Charlie Sheen was in second place with 21 percent, so clearly his ‘winning’ days are over.

Most Americans, though, 42 percent, opted to not having a celebrity in their neighborhood at all.

“As a voyeuristic culture that breathlessly tracks every celebrity movement, it’s extremely surprising to see so many Americans saying they wouldn’t like to live next to any celebrity at all,” Zillow’s Amy Bohutinsky said in a statement. “We may want to watch, read and talk about celebrities, but when it comes to sharing a back fence, many Americans think it’s just too close for comfort.”
