The ex-boyfriend who allegedly held down the mother of his child while his new girlfriend repeatedly stabbed her was arrested Thursday by the Boston Police Department’s fugitive unit.
Dequan Sparks, 19, was arrested in Quincy, police said.
Sparks allegedly lured the mother of his infant child to the Savin Hill area saying that he had new shoes he wanted to give the child.
Police said that instead he set upon her as she pushed the child in a stroller. He held her down while his new girlfriend, Samia Jones, 17, allegedly stabbed the woman six times, authorities said.
Jones was arrested after Monday’s incident and pleaded not guilty during her arraignment earlier this week.
Sparks is due in court Friday.
