Even if you’re a devotee of director Tom Holland’s original 1985 vampire comedy Fright Night, you might still be able to groove on Craig Gillespie’s contemporary 3D remake. When Fright Night 3D comes into its own, adding new twists and relying on its novel setting and the strengths of its new cast and characters, only the most dour pundit would argue the movie is nothing short of a breath of fresh fetid air.
