Mumps has been reported at another Boston-area college — this time at Boston University.

The school announced Wednesday that three students had confirmed cases of the contagious ailment.

Judy Platt, BU’s director of Student Health Services told BU Today that one student reported symptoms prior to spring break and that those who may have come in contact with the unidentified person were emailed notifications.

Schools impacted by the outbreak so far have included Harvard, Tufts, Medford, Bentley and UMass Boston.
