Murder suspect in teen’s death wasn’t triggerman, sources say

A man charged with second-degree murder following the Dec. 6 shooting death of 16-year-old Yazdan Ghiasvand Ghiasi was not the shooter and is alleged to have been driving the car at the time of the incident, sources said.

Abdulhamid Wehbe, who is in custody, will make a court appearance Friday by video teleconference on a second-degree murder charge. His case is expected to be adjourned for several weeks to allow more time for disclosure.

Police are still looking for a fourth suspect, who is alleged to be the shooter, sources said.

Two other men, Zakaria Dourhnou, 18, and Khaled Wehbe, 19, were charged as accessories after the fact. Both are set to apply for bail before a Superior Court judge on Monday.

They are not alleged to have been in the car during the shooting, sources said. They were taken into custody after police, who were watching the car, allegedly saw someone approach the vehicle with cleaning materials, the sources said.
