Muslim student lied about attack by white men yelling ‘Donald Trump’: Police

An 18-year-old Muslim student who said she was attacked by a group of white men shouting “get out of this country” made the whole thing up, police said.

“Nothing happened, there was no victim,” a police source told the New York Daily News.

Yasmin Seweid, a student a Baruch College, was charged with filing a false report after the fabricated incident on Dec. 1, and was arraigned and released early Thursday morning.

Seweid invented the altercation to avoid being punished for staying out after curfew to drink with friends, sources said.

Seweid’s parents reportedly made her shave her head following the incident. She faces up to one year in jail per charge.

The teen told police that three white men made references to President-elect Donald Trump as she waited for the No. 6 train at the 23rd Street station at around 10 p.m.

Seweid said they followed her onto the train and called her a “f—king terrorist” and told her to “get out of this country.” One of the men grabbed her, she said, breaking her purse strap, and another partially removed her hijab.

She reported the incident and provided descriptions of the suspects to police.

“I was harassed on the subway last night, and it was just so dehumanizing I can’t speak about it without getting emotional,” she wrote on Facebook afterward.

Seweid was reported missing last Thursday, but was located on Friday, which caused authorities to question the validity of her statements, especially after no witnesses or video was found of the incident.

After being questioned again by detectives, Seweid admitted that she made up the attack. Her brother, Abdoul, also falsely reported a similar incident in 2012 and was charged, the Daily News reported.
