A jury has found Mustapha Ouanes, 67, guilty of raping one woman and attempting to rape another in his room at the Plaza Hotel last year.
Ouanes was visiting New York City as part of an unnamed Saudi Prince’s traveling entourage on Jan. 26 of 2010.
District Attorney Cyrus Vance announced the conviction today, saying, “This was a crime of opportunity – the defendant had a vulnerable, intoxicated woman in his hotel room and sexually assaulted her.”
