While Michael Thomas C.S. Rafferty graduated from Richmond Hill’s Alexander MacKenzie High School in 1998, it’s not known when he moved to Woodstock, where he was charged Tuesday with the murder of eight-year-old Victoria (Tori) Stafford.
On his MySpace page, Rafferty listed his interests as dancing, music, camping, movies, girls … “and all that mushy stuff that couples do.”
The 28-year-old, who said last year he was working in construction landscaping, wrote of himself: “I’m full of romance and love and I wear my heart on my sleve! (sic) I am a hopeless romantic … but can also stand my ground.”
The other suspect in Tori’s abduction, 18-year-old Terri-Lynne McClintic, has a colourful past.
Her mother was a stripper; her adopted father a long-distance trucker who last saw his daughter when she was about six years old.
Terri-Lynne moved back to Woodstock three years ago with her mother, Carol, according to her 70-year-old grandmother, Nancy McClintic, and her adopted father, Rob McClintic.
How she got involved with Rafferty is a mystery to both — as is much of her life.
Even though Terri-Lynne had moved back to Woodstock, her grandmother, a two-time breast cancer survivor, had not heard from her. Neither father nor grandmother has seen Terri-Lynne for years.
