NBC reportedly finds at least 10 more Brian Williams misrepresentations

Multiple news groups report that NBC’s internal investigation into the veracity of Brian William’s reporting have come up with at least ten instances of misrepresentation.

The investigation was reportedly leaked by NBC to media groups to shame Williams into resigning from his position at NBC Nightly News.
Williams has been out of the spotlight since February when he was suspended from his position as anchor on NBC Nightly News, following reports that he had misrepresented his time in Iraq during the invasion of 2003.
The extent to which Williams has exaggerated his experiences include misrepresentation as to where the anchor physically was during incidents like the protests at Tahrir Square in Egypt.
NBC investigators honed in on a February 2011 Daily Show appearance where Williams boasted that he had looked into the eyes of mounted Egyptian soldiers in Cairo’s Tahrir Square, and seen armed men beat protesters.
From his conversation with host Jon Stewart, Williams implies he was in the thick of the chaotic pro-democracy movement down on the ground.
However, the Times said, NBC news broadcasts from the time only show that he was on a balcony overlooking the square from a safe distance during violent stretches.
Williams reportedly has a 50 million contract with NBC, and Politico reports that he may receive “$20 million to $30 million to leave.”
