The cast of the first season of “The Biggest Loser” had a long way to go.

NBC’s popular reality competition show “The Biggest Loser” is coming to the Boston area in search of contestants for its next season.
The show, which chronicles the weight loss of extremely overweight people, is holding auditions in Revere on April 12. The casting call will take place at Planet Fitness on Charger Street from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Casting scouts are looking for families of four or more (all members have to be at least 18 years old), as well as individuals and former athletes.
“If you have at least 100 pounds to lose, we strongly encourage you to apply,” the show’s casting website said. “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to lose the weight and compete to win $250,000!”
The show is casting its 16th season.
