New bids are being accepted for the financially struggling Long Island College Hospital.

The State University of New York has issued a new request for proposals following a settlement agreement that permits SUNY to exit operations of the Cobble Hill facility no later than May.

“This agreement represents the culmination of all the tremendous work by nurses and doctors, neighborhood associations, patients and elected officials who refused to back down,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio in a statement last month.

“Protecting continuity of care and ensuring the healthcare needs of this community are met will now be the yardstick by which proposals for the future of LICH are measured,” he said.

Interested bidders must attend the Community Healthcare Meeting today at 5 p.m. at the SUNY College of Optometry, located at 33 W. 42nd St.

Mandatory site visits will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, and bidders must submit their proposals by 3 p.m. on March 19.
